Carey who's 5'10, was once a leading American models for fashion. Famous designers like Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren loved her. Her father was an eminent geoscientist and was recognized as the Scientist of 1979 by the Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists. Carey's father was a geologist who traveled across the globe as part of his profession. When she finished her studies at the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs, she started modeling on the side. The idea caught the attention of a Ford Model Agency New York. Following her move to France and briefly was a resident in Paris, Bordeaux and New York and then New York, she made the decision to go back in New York and continue her training. Soon, Vogue, Glamour and various other magazines were featured on their cover. Between modeling gigs, she was a full time student, completing a master's degree in literature at New York University. When she began studying acting at the Neighborhood Playhouse, New York and began to become interested in acting grew. She began her acting career by playing a minor character in 'Club Pardise' in 1986 with Robin Williams. When she is not working, she enjoys skiing or windsurfing. She also enjoys climbing mountains as well as whitewater rafting.
